Agape

Reaching out to the people of Dundee through a hug.

‘Agape’ is an inclusive tower space at Logie & St John (Cross) Church, designed for the people of Dundee. The space was created to encourage those from various communities within the city to connect, interact and learn together. An environment where people from all districts are equal, no matter what their beliefs. From site visits and communicating with the Minister of LSJC Church, it became apparent that the Church devotes itself to interacting and connecting to societies within Dundee to spread the love and word of God.  Agape is home to a spacious glass lift that acts as the bridge between the people of Dundee and the tower creation of a ‘one way up and one way down’ staircase that hugs the lift, the tower allows people to intertwine and feel connected to the City and the Church – just as the staircase does with the lift. Agape provides Dundee with a safe, inclusive space that acts as the hug for the City.
